From Grief to Gratitude: The Journey Behind the Book
Why I wrote the book I needed to read — and why it became the book others needed too.
The Book I Needed
I didn't write "From Grief to Gratitude" because I had answers.
I wrote it because I had questions.
When my mother passed, I searched for a book that could meet me in the dark. Not a book that would tell me everything would be fine. Not a book with five steps to healing. A book that would sit beside me in the grief and say: I've been here too. And there is a way through.
I couldn't find it.
So I wrote it.
The Process
Writing the book was its own journey. Every page was a step I had taken — a question I had asked, a grief I had carried, a breakthrough I had earned.
There were days I couldn't write. Days when the memory was too heavy, too raw. Days when I questioned whether anyone needed to read my story.
But then the question came back: What is this here to teach me?
And the answer, again and again, was: Share it. Someone needs to hear this.
The Launch
On January 16, 2025, the book came into the world.
Friends, family, readers, and breakthroughs — all in one room. People I'd coached. People I'd spoken to. People who had walked their own path from grief to gratitude.
That night, I realized something: the book wasn't mine anymore. It was theirs. It was the bridge between my story and theirs — between my question and theirs.
The Invitation
If you're reading this and you're in the grief — in the "Why?" — I want you to know something:
The question will change. Not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But it will.
And when it does — when you finally ask "What is this here to teach me?" — you'll find something you didn't expect.
Gratitude.
Not for the loss. Never for the loss.
But for the person the loss made you become.
That's the journey. That's the book. That's the breakthrough.
And it's waiting for you.
